Biography

Grandfather of a family living near Daddy's family in Minnesota. Visited Minnesota to hunt and fish, took a liking to Daddy, and took him to Moline when Daddy was sixteen. Occupation also recorded as “Worked at John Deere.” (Iris's Chapter). A good friend of Iris's Daddy who often visited the family home and hunted deer with him. Vacationed in Minnesota annually to hunt and fish. Helped Daddy obtain a job at John Deere Plow Works in Moline. Occasionally rode to Brainerd with the family; his family had a lake on its property where they fished. Occupation also recorded as “Worked in a supervisory position at John Deere Plow Works in Moline.” (History of the Guild Family). Harold Falk's grandfather. Met Floyd during annual fishing trips to Brainerd to visit his unnamed son. Took Floyd to Moline in his car and helped him obtain a job in 1921. Remained Floyd's lifelong friend.
