Bernie and Bob grow and sell popcorn
The boys grew popcorn to sell and were allowed to keep the proceeds. Daddy helped plant the corn, offered harvest helpers fifty cents for finding an ear of Indian corn, bought a sheller, and drove the boys to movie theaters to make sales.
