Fox and Geese in the Snow

Instructions for a snow game: players stamp out a circle twenty to fifty feet in diameter, divided into eight pie-shaped sections. One player, chosen to be “It,” starts at the center while the others line up on the outer edge. Everyone must run only along the marked lines. A player becomes “It” when tagged or when stepping off the lines.

Make a large circle (twenty to fifty feet in diameter) and segment it into eight sections (like pieces of a pie) by stamping the snow down with your feet. One player is chosen to be “It”. To begin the game, “It” stands at the center of the circle and the players line up on the circle’s outer edge. The player’s run away from “It” to avoid being tagged. However, all players, including “It.” may only run along the lines marked in the snow. A player becomes “It” when tagged or if he/she runs off the lines.
