Faith and Family in Iris's Heart

told by Iris Lee Guild Retzlaff

Iris reflects on God as creator, guide, source of strength, and comforter during difficult times. She affirms answered prayers while trying to understand unanswered ones, believes in divine forgiveness and a purpose for every life, and describes her husband Bill as the spiritual backbone of their family.

In the family's own words

Angels above us and angels around Angels to love us and keep us from harm Smiling and dancing in happiness abound Their love will sustain you Their hearts always true Just ask them to guide you You’ll be surprised what they do —Iris Retzlaff

IN MY HEART…I believe first and foremost in God as our creator. Through God comes faith, strength, and love. The guiding hand to help us through life. The giver of strength to see us through the tough times we can’t see our own way out of. The comforter in the middle of the night when our problems and fears overwhelm us. I believe in prayers answered. I try to understand those prayers that are not. I believe in His divine forgiveness. We are all here for a purpose, a destiny to fulfill—perhaps we know it, perhaps we do not. I believe in family, always. And I believe my husband Bill has been the spiritual backbone of our family.
